Funney/ Strange

Today the FedEx man brought me a surprise! When we were in D.C. in July, we visited Jessica's museum, as it had just recently re-opened. Until September, the SAAM has a special exhibition by William Wegman (aka "The Weimaraner Guy") and Jessica sent me his book. I was so excited to get it because his work is so interesting to me (NOT just the work with the dogs :). His drawings are a provoking take on life's everyday things. Check out his website here: http://www.wegmanworld.com/.

Sarah and Aaron's wedding

We got home this afternoon from our quick trip to Colorado for Sarah and Aaron's wedding and now we are SO tired! Our trip was short, but we jam-packed our schedule with fun, so now we're paying the price! Friday night we hit Old Chicago for a nightcap with the family. On Saturday morning (a 6:40 tee time!), Andy and Bill H. played golf at Coal Creek. The course was really pretty (so green!) and the boys said that even though it was a difficult course, they had a good time! (http://www.coalcreekgolf.com/) While the golfers were on the links, Grandma and I went to get pedicures at a spa in Boulder- it was a nice treat for us! At the wedding in the afternoon, Sarah and Aaron looked so happy together. It was really a touching event to witness and I am so glad we were part of their special day. The cocktail hour and reception dinner were held at the Omni Interlocken Resort and it was a fabulous evening of dancing, drinking, and celebrating! ( http://www.omnihotels.com/FindAHotel/DenverInterlocken/Photos.aspx) Aaron and Sarah picked a great DJ and people danced throughout the whole evening, which you know I loved! Andy was so awesome- he requested my favorite song and all of the family- EVEN GRANDMA- danced to The Sugar Hill Gang! Later, everyone in the room joined the "Conga line" and it was really fun! We were so glad that we were there and we had such a blast!!

Pictures from D.C.- better late than not at all!

In this museum shot, Andy and Ryan are looking at the really great piece we liked in the SAAM.

Here is another one of our D.C. pictures: The Euchre tourney!
